Villas-Boas faces conduct charge

Villas-Boas critical of referee after defeat by QPR
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has been charged with improper conduct following comments he made about referee Chris Foy after the 1-0 defeat by QPR.
The Portuguese admitted he was “very aggressive” with Foy, who sent off Jose Bosingwa and Didier Drogba and booked seven other Blues players in the match.
“Villas-Boas has been charged with improper conduct,” confirmed a Football Association (FA) statement.
“He has until 1600 GMT on 15 November to respond to the charge.”
Bosingwa was sent off for bringing down Shaun Wright-Phillips when through on goal, while Drogba was red-carded for a two-footed lunge at Adel Taarabt.
The Blues were later fined £20,000 after admitting a charge of failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.
Speaking after the defeat, 34-year-old Villas-Boas, who is in his first season as Chelsea manager, said: “The ref was poor, very very poor. And it reflected in the result.
“I spoke to him at the end and I was very aggressive to him. I don’t care if he’s OK or not.
“Everyone can have a bad day, but this was not a bad day for us. It was a good day for us and a bad day for the referee.”
