Basic Rules
Objective: the objective of the football is to score the highest number of points in the four quarters that lasts the encounter, whether via a touchdown, field goal or safety.
The rooms: as I mentioned earlier, a party is divided in 4 quarters of 15 minutes each, taking a half time with a longer pause between the second and third quarter. In spite of the fact that in the paper a party should last for 1 hour in game time (the sum of the quarts), the commercial breaks and the times outside orders by the coaches make it much longer, taking an approximate duration of 3 hours.

The ball: “The Duke” (as he is commonly said) is the official ball of the football of the NFL. It has the shape of an ovoid, its circumference is 72.4 cm around the long axis and 54 cm around the short axis.
Teams: each team has a template of maximum 53 players, 45 of which are called upon in each party. Within the field of play, the offensive and defensive team have allowed a maximum of 11 players per side, regardless of the position they occupy.

The “first and 10 “: one of the most commonly-used words and least understood by many in this sport is the term ‘first and 10 “. Each team, when it is on the offensive, has four chances (called “downs” in English) to advance 10 yards and get another “package” of 4 opportunities (or is, a first and 10). On many occasions (depending on the position of field), when this cannot be achieved in 3 opportunities, the fourth serves to clear the ball, delivering it to the opposing team (to this kick is called “kick” or “punt” ).

The touchdown: the best way to record in this sport involves entering the area of annotation (which has an extension of 10 yards in height and 53 yards of base) by a race (running with the ball in the arms), a pass (being the receiver who grabs it with both feet inside of the annotation area), a loose ball recovered by the defensive or offensive led to the respective area of annotation or an interception returned for touchdown. The value of a touchdown is 6 points and after this there is the opportunity to 1 point more track a kick or 2 points via a career move or pass.

The field goal: when a computer is just enough distance away and not able to find a first and 10 on 3 occasions, occupies the fourth to attempt a field goal. This is that the center (player who passes the ball to the quarterback or the holder in this case) passes the ball to the holder (who holds the ball to the kicker you paste) and this puts it on the floor of vertically to the kicker hit and try to insert it between the two yellow posts that are in the center of the annotation area. The value of each field goal is 3 points.

Safety: the exclusive form of annotation of the defensive consists in that a defensive player taclee an opponent within its own area of annotation or the ball goes out in the same as a result of an error offensive. The value of a safety is 2 points and, after their annotation, the offensive team handed him the ball to the scorekeepers through a kick of cleared land for which they have opportunity to score on the offensive.

End of the play: each time a player leaves the field with the ball in possession, the ball leaves the field by itself or the holder of the ovoid is tacleado and his knee touches the ground, the play ends.

The arbitrators: in American football, unlike in all of sports, there are a total of 7 types of arbitrators in an encounter. The referee is in charge of the general meeting and who has the last word in the making, easily identifiable by being the only one porta a white cap; theumpire story is who goes behind the last offensive player (usually the corridor) to count the number of players on the floor and monitor that punishment is not committed by the offensive lines (originally was placed behind the linebackers, but the NFL changed the rule and would only return to this position in the last two minutes of the first half, the last 5 of the second and each time that the offensive is located within the last 5 yards of the field); Head of line is placed on the sidelines (the limits of the field) to observe that no one can commit punishments in the lines and that a receiver or corridor is within the field when he catches a ball or run with him; thejudge of line is responsible for assisting the head of line, by putting the other side of the sidelines; the judge of field is placed on the same sideline the judge of that line, but behind the defensive secondary of the computer that is defending with the purpose of reviewing that punishments are not committed in that part of the field; the judge of side is placed on the same sideline that the line manager and has the same task as the judge of field; and, finally, the judge who is rear is placed back in the defensive secondary within the field, doing the same task that his two colleagues past and putting together with the judge of field to validate if a field goal is good or not.
